Studio

ar.qi designs is a Philippines-based studio working on houses, interiors, kitchens and commercial spaces, from the first conversation to the finished room.
We are a design-first practice. Our attention goes into planning, proportion, light and material, and into the details that make a space work day after day. When a project calls for it, we carry the design through documentation and construction as a design + build studio.
Philosophy
01
Every project starts with how people will use the space: routines, operations, storage, the moments that matter. The design follows from that understanding.
02
We prefer a few well-made decisions to many competing ones. Calm spaces are easier to live and work in, and they last longer.
03
Materials are chosen for their character, their performance in a tropical climate and the way they age, and used where they make sense.
04
Design intent is easily lost between drawing and site. We stay involved through documentation and construction to protect it.
Process
The same five stages apply to a kitchen, a house or a restaurant. The scale changes; the care does not.
We listen first: how you live or operate, what the space must do, your budget and your timeline.
Layouts, spatial ideas and an overall design direction, explored in sketches, plans and early 3D studies.
The approved concept is refined into a complete design, with materials, lighting and joinery resolved.
Drawings and schedules precise enough to price and build from, coordinated with engineers and specialists.
Construction is coordinated and reviewed on site until the space is complete and handed over.
